Hi, I’m Dal Ladymon, a visual artist, photographer, and, more recently, a bookmaker passionate about storytelling through imagery and design. My work explores landscape and nature, the out of the ordinary scenes that I “see,” things of architectural note and interest, and the occasional individual that I run into that peaks my curiosity using conventional and alternative printing methods.
My journey began with a fascination for finding the uniqueness in the world, and over the years, I’ve honed my skills through self-exploration and collaborations with other photographers and artist. As a photographer, I focus primarily on landscape with an eye towards capturing the unusual when it appears. I have recently embarked on bookmaking projects that combine traditional book printing combined with handmade bookbinding resulting in a unique, one limited edition collection of my thought and images.
My work has been exhibited at design studios in the Dallas Design District. I have had the privilege of collaborating with a number of exceptional photographers and artists including John Sexton, Joel Tjintelaar, Dilip Raval, Alan Ross, and others.
When I am not creating, you’ll find me hiking in the mountains, exploring the backroads, and enjoying time with my wife, family, and friends. I also love connecting with other creatives and photography enthusiasts! Feel free to browse my portfolio, reach out for collaborations, or follow me on this website to stay updated on my latest projects.
